Legal requirements
Conduct
of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses
Regulations 2003
BLF endeavours to be fully compliant in all areas of the
law. Under the terms of the recent Regulations that came
into force April - July 2004, BLF will operate under the
definition of an "Employment Agency". The new legislation
seeks to make transparent practices within the employment
industry and to protect the rights of both the Hirer and
Work Seeker.
The compliance regulations required by the DTI requires a
significant amount of paperwork in order to be abreast of
the process. Unfortunately this has had the knock on effect
of making our Terms and Conditions look somewhat like a
famous work from the pen of Leo Tolstoy. However, the
upside is that everyone will know to what they are agreeing
from the start.
